Adsdean, United Kingdom•4.8(213)•Farm, Wildlife Center

Walk with your own alpaca through beautiful South Downs countryside at this pioneering alpaca trekking venue, complete with on-site shop and free facilities.

Dunreyth Alpacas at Adsdean Park offers a unique hands-on experience where visitors can enjoy guided alpaca walks in an idyllic South Downs setting near Chichester, West Sussex. Each participant receives their own alpaca to lead during the hour-long walk, providing a personal connection with these gentle animals—a distinctive feature that sets this venue apart from other alpaca experiences. The venue is situated on the owners' working alpaca farm, created by former nurses Bruce and Peta who pioneered public alpaca trekking in the UK around 2006. Beyond walking experiences, the venue features an on-site shop selling handmade alpaca-themed knitwear, Peruvian apparel, and memorable souvenirs of individual alpacas. Free picnic tables are available for visitors, and the pastoral setting provides a peaceful retreat. Dunreyth Alpacas also offers specialized services including alpaca visits to care homes, hospices, and schools, and special experiences such as hen party walks. All visits require advance booking, as this is not an open farm but a carefully managed alpaca sanctuary. The venue is ideal for families, couples, and groups seeking an interactive wildlife experience combined with shopping and outdoor leisure. Free parking and on-site beverages make for a comfortable family visit.

Just amazing. An experience of a lifetime. I was privileged to walk Thor, only 11 months old, for the first time. It was absolutely incredible, all the staff are amazing and so knowledgeable. Lovely walk with tons of photo ops. An experience I will never forget.
