Beautiful place/s. 3 seperate 'villages' so need to drive rather than walk in between them. Lovely coffee shop & museum at Ford Castle. Any description I give wouldn't do it justice, you should google for more info. Well worth a visit to all 3 areas. Corn Mill, part of Hatherslaw railway best loos I've been in for years 😂
Lovely quiet setting at both sites. Etal has the remnants of a castle, the castle at ford is private. Both have lovely cafes. Nice area for a dog friendly visit.
We had a nice morning wandering around the various sites - 2 castles , railway, little shops ( got some nice earrings and cider . Took a detour afterwards to Flodden Field which was really interesting too. Parking and entrances free. Only need to pay for train trip and obviously shops
Gorgeous villages (with Heatherslaw) with lots to see and learn about. All extremely well maintained and signposted. Mostly free. Free parking. Good walking routes between. Friendly staff. Had a great day out there.
Holiday at haggeston castle and spent a lovely day looking at the 3 villages lots to see
