Great introduction to Skiing for my daughter at Gloucester Ski and Snowboarding centre.. Great coaching from Will. We will be back for session 2 in a few weeks.

I did the x2, 3 hour evening ski pack as an absolute beginner and I found it excellent, I feel like I have learnt so much is such as short length of time. Ski instructor Alan was fantastic! Made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend.

We have an upcoming ski trip, and as a gift a relative kindly bought us two 1-hour private lessons for the four of us, costing £440. These were advertised as being tailored to each skiers ability level, but unfortunately that wasn’t our experience. At one point, an intermediate skier in our group was being taught how to put skis on and side-step, which shows the session clearly wasn’t adapted to tailored needs. For the first lesson, the instructor arrived about 10 minutes late while we were already fully kitted up before the lesson was due to start and waiting in the boot room. I let a few things slide at the time because I was genuinely excited to bring my children to the place where I learned to ski myself. However, the second lesson was the most disappointing. There was simply no space for a lesson to take place. Across the slopes there were already four classes running as well as the slopes being open to the public, and we felt like we were constantly in the way or intruding on other lessons. At one point, another instructor appeared visibly frustrated, while waiting of the drag lift, with our 4 and 8-year-old as they attempted to use the drag lift for the first time. Instead of improving my own skiing, I effectively became a helper for my youngest because our group kept getting split up due to how busy the slopes were. Overall, neither session resembled what most people would reasonably expect from a private lesson, and we certainly didn’t receive anything close to a full hour of actual skiing time in either. I asked the centre for a partial credit for the second lesson so it could be used toward a future booking better suited to our different ages and abilities, which, is how we should have been advised to book in the first place when purchasing and booking the lessons. Communication has since stopped, which is disappointing. I still hope they choose to respond constructively, as that would be the professional thing to do.

We had such a great lesson - my 9 year old son and I were taught by instructor Liv who was so patient and made me feel I was in safe space to learn, my son also made great progress. Instructor Libby was fab with our 3 year old daughter who had a great first ever lesson. Thanks so much for a great morning ! Lisa / Alex / Sophie !

Great facility to have locally. We attended a beginners lesson for snowboarding here. The lesson was great, very relaxed. Alan- the instructor- was excellent. Very reassuring and patient. The children enjoyed themselves immensely. Great cafe/bar/restaurant area. In which, the coffee was excellent. On a side note. The party doing the "tubing" session seemed to be having a great time, too. Might be worth a try... Absolutely would recommend the place, based on our experience so far. Edit. We can't stop coming back! Great instructors and such a welcoming place. Definitely retaining its prior 5 stars from me!
