Lovely house and gardens . A plant nursery with plenty to choose from and very reasonable prices. Nice cafe with good coffee ☕ and good quality food .

Amazing gardens. They certainly know their audience, there are seats and nookes for sitting in everywhere. Really great if you need to rest or want to sit and take in the flowers. These are the best gardrns I have ever seen.

My wife and I visited Great Dixter House and Gardens today and absolutely loved it. The gardens are beautiful and extensive, with so much to explore. We also had lunch in the café, which was lovely. As it was the end of June, the colour was simply spectacular. I'm not sure what it's like at other times of the year, but it certainly felt like the perfect time to visit. We'll definitely be back!

This is our second visit to this beautiful house and gardens. Our first was last Autumn when the late perennials and pumpkins and squash in the vegetable garden were at the best. This time it was a stunning Spring display 😍 There are many separate areas to explore; bordered with carefully manicured yew hedges.... The rooms in the house that you can visit are very ancient and there are fascinating books and photos showing it's history and development. You can also explore a number of the barns near the carpark ; which house old equipment and display photos of hop picking and the garden. If you are into rare and unusual plants, don't miss the nursery and cafe area.

The Gardens are great with loads of colour and varied landscapes formal , exotic, swampy,lakeside. The cafe was quite expensive in comparison to other local attractions. The house is OK although only the grand hall on the ground floor and a big room upstairs could be viewed. Overall an OK visit but I would not bother with the house.
