Probably not the top destination for tourists to Blackpool, but it should definitely be on your list of places to visit in the town. It's just a short walk from the prom. The temporary exhibitions are always interesting and well presented and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Great art gallery to take a breath and take in the lovely pieces of art. Monet’s Masterpiece was on show and we enjoyed spending time in that dedicated room. Chap on reception was very helpful and recommended a good place for coffee afterwards. Tickets not needed (for our visit anyway) and it was free entry.

Attended Grundy Art Gallery after a spontaneous decision whilst in town. Free admission. Intriguing Monet on show in back area ( 'The Petit Bras of the Seine at Argenteuil' (1872) part of The National Gallery Masterpiece Tour 2025–2027). A departure from the artists later colourful impressionism. The staff were very welcoming and let me know who was showing on my way in (Louise Giovanelli and Monet). This is a cosy exhibition area (3 areas on ground floor), but care and attention is paid to presenting pieces sympathetically. I enjoyed discussing insights with Hex (gallery guide). On the way out I asked what else is coming up and I intend to visit again in few months when lesser-known CS Lowry sketches are making an appearance. A very enjoyable few hours spent.

Small but brilliant. FREE. Had some real reflective art regarding women’s bodies and me and my lady friend really enjoyed reading and interpreting the art. Cute staff and helpful.
