Super fun and good value compared to other miniature railways with a high quality playground suitable for both toddlers and older children

Gorgeous attraction. Half way round you can get off a play at a playground, and catch another train back. Our 2 year old loves it!!

Good for younger children, play area is very small. Cute train ride though.

Such a lovely hidden gem inside the High Legh Garden Centre! You access the miniature railway through the garden centre car park, where there’s a charming little train station to buy your tickets and hop on board. The ride itself is adorable and lasts a good few minutes. It was just £3 per person for the first ride, and only £1 per person for each additional ride—such great value! My 5-year-old absolutely loved it—we ended up going three times because he just couldn’t get enough. The track winds through cute little scenes, like a tea party set inside a cave, some gnomes, and other random but fun decorations that really capture kids’ imaginations. There’s also a small playground area midway where you can hop off, let the kids play for a bit, and then catch the next train back. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, especially if you have little ones!

We took two small children on the Santa train and it was brilliant- 15 minutes total (with a 1 and 3 year old you’ll know this is a benefit). We stopped in Santa’s grotto and received presents, then returned through the Christmas lights and back round. There was also a roundabout at the entrance for children to go on. As it’s attached to the garden centre, you can then go in and visit the cafe or look at the Christmas displays. It’s a great place to spend a few hours particularly around Christmas time. Will return next year. The staff are pleasant and friendly,
