The pool and facilities are fantastic but PLEASE fix the booking/admissions process! Pre-booked spaces fill up days in advance and staff do not allow walk-in’s..but the place is half empty! See image for case in point. I have also witnessed families be ejected from the pool at 5pm to make space for swim lanes (which were subsequently occupied by about 3 people). They all subsequently left, instead of probably staying to buy food & drink. The operator is losing out on so much revenue due to these inefficient processes, it would be a real shame if maintenance of the site suffered because of it. Parking is also a complete disaster but this is well known now and people have learnt to park in the surrounding streets (which I’m sure the local residents are thrilled about).

Really enjoyed my 1st of many visits to Hilsea Lido. Outdoor swimming and sauna session. Pompey you should be proud of this facility, its history and a fabulous refurb. Look after it so it can be enjoyed for years to come.

The refurbished lido is lovely. Huge improvement on the old one. Staff are welcoming, sauna is hot, swimmers are friendly. It's big enough for serious swimmers and splashy dippers like me. Decent coffee with a member discount and discount for own cup. Pretty decent parking but I imagine summer will be tricky. NB on a Sunday there is a run nearby so spaces are hard to find in the morning. Currently not heated but they're working on that. I don't mind as I like the cold and the sauna warms you up afterwards anyway.

Took the family to the newly refurbished Hilsea Lido recently. Family friendly pay as you go ticket pricing is a nice touch, the pool has loads of shallow areas which the kids loved and was warmer than I expected. I even got some lengths in. Husband was v happy sat on the grass with the bacon cheeseburger he ordered soaking it all in. Staff were friendly, attentive and the place was clean and looked amazing. A great experience and we shall be back soon

Hilsea Lido welcome back. Had a lovely afternoon swim and the rain stopped. Great facilities lovely warm shower after my swim which warmed me up. See u very soon.
