Amazing beach! Very clean, pleasant sea air. The embankment is well-kept, there is a place to eat. An ideal place for a long family walk. I recommend it!❤️

Each ends of the beach is dog friendly. Our dog had a great time! We arrived around 9.30am so most parts were quiet! The sea was quite calm with some swimmers venturing into the water!

Hornsea beach can be walked for many miles in either direction ( always check the tide times ). Never crowded. Yes I @ 5 or 10 mins walk. Public toilets ( free ) and the usual fish and chips etc nearby. Ok for parking ( mostly free ). Not spoiled by slot machine arcades. A good small seaside town to be enjoyable for anyone

Hornsea beach is one of my favourites on the East Coast. If you stand with your back to the Hornsea Hub Leisure Centre looking out to sea, head to your left to find amazing stretches of beach. Stay away from below the cliff and enjoy the sand. There are often lots of fishermen closest to the promenade but beyond that visitors are few and far between and are usually dog walkers. Even on a late December afternoon when the weather app said 8 degrees feels like 5 and my nose said 0 degrees it was still a fantastic place to visit.

First time here and it's been a while since I have been to the beach. The nearest long stay parking was full. Thankfully there was street parking not too far. To be fair it was a busy Saturday. It's great if you have a mat or tent, long enough walk for dogs and enough food options nearby. There are piers extending a good distance into the water that demarcate sections of the beach which is ideal for large groups visiting the beach. There is also a little amusement park where kids can enjoy a variety of rides.
