I race in the U.S. and I was really looking forward to giving this track a try. It did not disappoint. I had a lot of fun here and I am so glad I came. At this K1 they are very serious about safety- don't walk in there with flip-flops or you won't get in a kart. They require real shoes (close-toed). If you bring your own headsock and gloves, you don't have to pay for theirs, but they require both. They do their safety briefing with a video in a quiet room, and I think this is great.l because you can actually hear what is being said. They even make you check your brakes before you go on the track. They have the same helmets as the K1's in the states - if you wear green at home, you will wear green here. They have the newest carts, and they are taken care of well. It's an indoor track with electric karts. The track is really long, it's wide enough to pass people safely, and has a descent amount of grip. The karts take some strength to turn, but they weren't too bad. I was able to manage well and I have rotator cuff issues. I went on a Monday afternoon and the races were full, but it wasn't crazy busy and I didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes to race. The track map is deceptive, it's longer than it looks. Even if you're fast, it will still take you 45-50 seconds (depending on traffic) to do a lap. And here, they don’t let you race a certain number of laps, its just time - you do as many laps as as you can get in during the 15-minute session. The staff was really helpful. Joe at the front desk helped me get set up because my American account didn't transfer. I wasn't mad about that because at this K1, they don't charge a license fee. Jack in the pit was very kind. If you are at all into karting, you should come here. Yes, see Big Ben and the normal things, but this should be on your list because it is nothing like the K1 tracks in the U.S and it is definitely worth doing.
Had a fantastic time here, fast circuit with a great layout. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, took the time to answer questions and clarify any queries. Rented the helmet camera to get videos of the session, worked really well with a simple QR to download the footage. The clubhouse had great viewing of sections of the track along with loads of space to sit. Will look at doing the sim rigs on the next visit too.
This place is really good! Lovely atmosphere staff are friendly, you get a brief before you go on the tracks, and you have to buy gloves and a balaclava for £6 there's a choice of 3 colours pink, black and blue. The cars go really fast and it's just a fun time for kids and adults alike. Theres also food on site and drinks available. And lockers are freely provided too. Definitely come down there.
We had the BEST time at K1 Speed Canary Wharf for our corporate fun day! 🚀 There were 15 of us racing and from start to finish, everything was seamless, super well organised and just such great fun. The team were brilliant, making the whole experience feel smooth, efficient and really enjoyable for everyone. The karts were fantastic, the track was exciting to drive, and there was a great buzz throughout with some seriously competitive racing going on! 😄 One of the highlights had to be the suspense while we were all waiting for the final results on the leaderboard… so much excitement and cheering! We all left with huge smiles on our faces and lots of laughs to take away with us. Highly, highly recommend for corporate events or group fun and we absolutely can’t wait to come back again!
I booked this venue for my company’s anniversary event, and we had a group of 16 attending. We chose the longest race package available, which included two practice sessions, one qualifying session, and the final race. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the venue itself was excellent. For larger groups, I would recommend arriving around 45 minutes early, as the check-in process on the computers can take a little time. Overall, it was a great experience and a lot of fun for everyone involved. We will definitely be returning.
