A lovely castle. Took my dogs who enjoyed exploring. They are not allowed up on the 2nd level. I went up on the second level and would be far to dangerous for dogs. Its a fairly quiet site highly recommend

A nice afternoon out exploring what Wales has to offer. This castle is a nice gem on the outskirts of a small village with many complete structures. Most of the towers are still standing justissinf floors allowing for views the whole way up to see what each layer would have been like. Has large open areas on the inside would be perfect for a picnic or even just a place for children or dogs to play on as one tower that goes all the way to the top with complete flooring with perfect views of the town and the surrounding areas would recommend to anyone in the area that wants a nice afternoon. Also found the best thing in the gift shop a toy catapult that works 10 out of 10

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kidwelly Castle is a beautiful and incredibly well-preserved piece of Welsh history. There is so much to explore, from the impressive stone walls and towers to the hidden passageways and different levels of the castle. Walking around really gives you a sense of what life would have been like centuries ago. The views from the castle are lovely, and there are plenty of interesting features to discover, making it enjoyable for both adults and children. The site is peaceful, full of character, and perfect for anyone who enjoys history, photography, or simply exploring somewhere unique. A fascinating place to visit and well worth the trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This is the best castle you can visit in South Wales. Although a "castle in ruins" you can climb to the top of a tower for fantastic views. There is lots of information on the history of the castle. It is possible to walk along the battlements and into the cellars, used as a prison and a safe room. Plus you are visiting the castle used in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Well kept castle. Can access one of the towers and walk a good part of the battlements. Small tarmacked care park at front with some EV chargers and anather carpark less than 5 mins down from castle.
