Beautiful bay really clean, lovely surroundings ideal for swimming and water sports. There is a food shack here as well right on the bay.

Absolutely beautiful spot at King Edward’s Bay in Tynemouth. Stunning views, a lovely beach, and such a relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect place for a walk, a swim, or just to sit and enjoy the sea air. Clean, well-kept, and full of character - one of the best coastal spots in the area. Always a pleasure to visit and highly recommended!

Nice bay for all the family. Revisited at 17:00 on a rainy Saturday afternoon in late August 2025, and there are still people swimming and having fun in this really safe bay, especially when the wind is blowing offshore (westerly).

Beautiful beach, castle and priory ruins, and Tynesmouth town. A very pleasant surprise. Highly recommended when going to or getting off the Newcastle - Amsterdam ferry, since close by and easy to go to being on the same metro line.
