Enjoy a quiet sandy beach perfect for swimming, surfing, rock pooling and coastal walks with your dog and family.

Seaton Sluice Beach is a peaceful coastal destination located at the mouth of the Seaton Burn in Northumberland. The wide, sandy beach forms the southern end of a long stretch of sand backed by grassy dunes that extends northward to Blyth. A scenic path winds through the dunes where visitors can spot a variety of plant and animal life, making it ideal for nature exploration. The beach offers excellent water quality and is popular with families and outdoor enthusiasts for bathing, surfing, and rock pooling. The adjacent Collywell Bay features a mixture of sand and rocks and is particularly popular with anglers. This is a generally quiet spot, especially on weekdays, providing a peaceful alternative to busier beaches. Facilities include public toilets, parking available along the A193 adjacent to the dunes, and a car park with facilities at the roundabout where the A190 meets the A193. The nearby town centre offers additional amenities including pubs, shops and places to eat. Dogs are welcome, making it perfect for families with pets. Swimming, coastal walks and surfing are the main activities enjoyed here.

It's a beautiful beach. Very clean. Car park is free. There are public loos and usually an ice cream van in the carpark. No facilities on the beach but places to eat etc nearby.

A nice place to walk the dog or just a stroll from Blyth beach to Seaton sluice harbour is a really pleasant walk with lots of parking spaces from top to bottom. If you wanted to park at Blyth beach front next to the coffee shop and fish shop at weekend I suggest going before 10:30 so your not searching for a parking space but there's still ample spaces up and down the beach front!

Great beach for walking the dogs. Easy access from three different car parks. Best of all, great fish & cheaps at the north end of the beach in Blyth.

Lovely wild and unspoiled beach, just north of Whitley Bay, but seems so far removed and is much nicer if you want peace and quiet. Free car parking and toilets available. Also there was an ice cream van there when we visited. Lovely place for a walk or to sit and watch the sea
