We have done 3 rooms previously at the Taunton site and really enjoyed them, hence why we kept going back. We did the death of Hugh today and unfortunately we were very dissatisfied. The room itself was good however the game masters have always been great in giving clues when needed. Today when we asked for help, half the time we didn’t get an answer and when we did just kept being met with clues that didn’t even make sense. One clue just had an A and she kept saying A= and she didn’t actually put the = there just the A so was no help. When asking for a clue on a word search she just kept saying look at the paper left us for ages struggling at one point we were going to just give up. After paying £104 for the experience and having the amazing experiences before we were disappointed with the lack of help and frustration at being ignored. When we came out we mentioned the A=‘s and the word search and were told she was confused as we unlocked the computer before we were meant to 🤷♀️ also music was too loud so couldn’t hear the AI voice or the help when it was given. Game master ruined our experience this time unfortunately.
Had an amazing experience here with my family x The room we played was Murder on the menu and it was amazing! Lily (i believe her name was) was an amazing host (so was Jake (? I'm terrible with names!), and they both made it very entertaining. Lily is an awesome actress and really brought the room to life. Some puzzles were really easy and some were hard, but it was just about right for us and we finished with 10 minutes left! 10/10 x
Pros: Great likeable staff. Professional and friendly. My low score does not reflect on them. The riddles weren’t too hard but also weren’t easy. Convenient parking as well. Cons: Main door to escape room was left open for some reason. Not just unlocked but actually open / ajar. We could have walked out at any point and the light coming in spoiled the atmosphere somewhat. It didn’t feel at all like we were locked or trapped. The escape room itself was a cheaply made, tired looking room with a black fabric draped over the top for a “ceiling”. Having done three others, this one felt like the cheapest made. We were also given clues when we didn’t need or want them.
Had the best time at Lock and Code escape rooms today. My sister in law and I LOVE escape rooms and today did not disappoint. Jake who was running our room was absolutely brilliant, had us laughing as soon as we walked in the door. The room we did (The death of Hugh Gennerd) was brilliant and quite different to other rooms we have done so kept us on our toes! Nice little twists and turns, it was brilliant! Will definitely be back! Thanks Jake (aka Will 🤣) for making it a fab experience!
Had an amazing morning today with children. Jake was brilliant one of the best activities we have done we will be back again. Very well organised
