The actual aquarium is cute but feel its overpriced for what it is. Feeding the mullets was a great experience but should be included in the price. I didnt know I could hold a starfish and the tanks they are in dont look like they are well maintained so not sure where the money is going. The member of staff working was very accommodating and kind.

A bit of a small Aquarium with only two rooms but such a great experience for our little ones, especially when they had the chance to feed the fish or touch a starfish. Staff was absolutely great with us and the fact that you could’ve spent as much time as you wanted inside it was a bonus as it rained for a while 😁. Good value for money too !

This is a very small aquarium. However feeding the fish was a great experience, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I even had the rare treat of holding a starfish.

A cute aquarium, with an interesting concept in that they only have native species found around the Dorset coast, and most are bycatches from the fishing boats. It was very cool seeing the different species of native, local species! It's very small, takes a maximum 10-15 minutes to get round, I liked the smaller tanks and signage, all the tanks were spotless. Though the big tanks looked a bit sterile and overstocked, there wasn't much in them over than fish. As said, I believe it's a lot of species caught as bycatch, it might have been good to see more species that are locally caught and eaten too, like mussels, flat fish species etc. The fish feeding was free today (not sure why), but normally its £3 per person. The staff were really friendly and I enjoyed the guy's talk he did on the starfish and urchins, he was very engaging, knowledgeable and had some interesting facts. My only gripe is the entry price, I feel £10pp (£13 if you do the feeding) for the size of the aquarium is pretty overpriced. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about the fish feeding and starfish holding (granted its in a shell but you still touch it etc.), the 'poke and stroke' vibes doesn't feel very considerate towards the welfare of these animals and can be detrimental to their health long term. Though the staff did say the starfish and other animals (bar the fish you feed) actually get returned to the sea and replaced every so often so that mitigates some of the concern if so.

We had a wonderful time. I took my four year old and she was thrilled to hand feed the fish and hold a starfish. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, it was a real joy. It’s a tiny aquarium but super sweet and a great source of information about sea life in the local area. A highlight of our trip!
