My child went for a residential . The worst residential she has ever experienced. Her brother got served a cold jacket potato, and the orienteering lady was mean to her .
The staff was nice and efficient. It's a belly up to the bar kind of place. Lovely chairs and table, plentiful on the deck outside with a view of the ferry. Plenty of seating inside too. Prices reasonable.
Love it in here! It reminds me of an old style canteen. A large airy room with tables and chairs and a serving hatch. You don't need anything to detract from the wonderful view over looking the river. The coffee is very good and at £2.75 a cup, you can't beat it. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We often drop in after a swim, with dogs, baggage etc.
Upstairs bar has indoors and a veranda overlooking the water. Dog friendly. I had a latte and a very nice rocky road while watching the boats. If you enter your car numberplate at reception you get free parking in exchange for buying coffee , I expect tea or cake etc would do!
Great facilities, easy access parking for visitors. I come out to kayak with the university and the interaction from the staff and the willingness to work with local clubs and people of all abilities is superb. The showers are hot and there's great storage opportunities. I bring my own kit, but have previously borrowed kit and for club kit, it is well maintained, clean and easily laid out with a variety of sizes.
