A lovely, quaint, pretty place, with shops and cafes.. very windy, narrow, streets, better to catch the 🚌 from Penzance 🚌 station.... from Mousehole, we caught the 🚌 again to Newlyn.. from Newlyn, you can walk into Penzance, not very far at all...

Beautiful village with incredible architecture / traditional buildings. Loads of alleys to make your way around. The harbour is a real glimpse into the past. If you're feeling adventurous a swim from one side to the other is easily achieved, maybe even a jump into the sea off the harboir wall once you're acclimatised. Well worth visiting for its sheer picturesqueness. The only problem with the area is the gentrification of every aspect of its existence. It's Dulwich-on-sea.

This is a fascinating place to visit check out the sizes of the doors on many of the houses . Cornish people werr celts and in the past worked very hard for little reward there diet was poor and so were very small in stature. Note on the sides of several buildings low down on the corners you'll see very large stones these were there to stop cart wheels damaging the walls you'll find loads of these in st Ives too. Explore the back streets and see how they crowded the houses into every nook and cranny . The harbour is a great place to swim when the tide is in theres a nice little beach at the far end .if you go swimming outside the Harbour do so only on the incoming tied they do get a rip tide so be carefull .there's sometimes seals around please don't try and stroke them . Remember they have teeth like a leopard with flippers . Dont bother them they won't bother you . Don't drive into househole. Its very tight and larger vehicles regularly get stuck . Take the bus in from newlyn you'll see far more .

Funny, we have been to Cornwall so many times as I have family there but never been to Mousehole. What a beautiful place to sit on the harbour wall and watch the world go by. Parking is cheap and we didnt have an issue finding somewhere. 2 little beaches (NO Dogs) either end of the harbour is lovely. Funny that there isnt a great deal there but you can easily just spend a couple of hours there.

Worth the trip out on a bright sunny day. Lovely little harbour village. Ice creams and take out teas, that's it apart from the beautiful view, and a sizeable St Austall brewery pub.
