So informative with lots of different areas covering the history of the city. Loved the transport section and the music area with the sound booth karaoke.

Great museum of Liverpool's social history, with lot's from early housing, transport, Beatles music and people's lives. Start at the 3rd floor and work your way down. Took 4 hours to digest everything, with interactive displays. Staff very helpful. There is a cafe, with good seating/tables. There is also a picnic area, which may be helpful to families. Situated on the waterfront, the museum is easily accessible from the main city centre.

Spent an enjoyable 2 and a half hours here could have comfortably spent more. Free to enter with helpful staff who explained the best route to enjoy the gallery. Spent most of my time on the second floor, that covered so much of Liverpool's history and culture. There's an engrossing display on the great war starting from Pals battalions recruitment, formed in the city. Later loved the music exhibits, especially the section on the legendary Eric's. And of course the football, it's history and many other sports such as the racing at Aintree and Golf at Birkdale. Next time I'm in Liverpool returning here and seeing more of the other floors is on the to do list. Large cafe.on the ground floor. The Museum of Liverpool is an absolute stunner of a building—that modern, jagged design right on the waterfront looks incredible against the more traditional "Three Graces" nearby. I’m actually standing outside it today (Monday, April 20th), and just a heads-up for anyone planning a visit: it is closed on Mondays. I made the mistake of not checking the schedule, but usually, they are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm. The best part about this place is that it’s free entry the rest of the week (though they do appreciate a donation if you can spare a few quid). It’s massive inside, and since it's right at the Pier Head, it’s a perfect stop-off if you’re already walking along the Mersey. I've been inside before, and the huge "picture windows" upstairs give you one of the best views of the city and the river you can get for free. Definitely worth coming back tomorrow when the doors are actually open! Tip: If you’re here on a Monday and find it closed like I did, the walk around the outside and toward the Royal Albert Dock is still worth it for the photos alone

Great museum that tells the story of Liverpool in a really engaging way. The exhibitions cover the city’s history, culture, music and football, with lots of interactive displays and personal stories. The building is modern, spacious and right on the waterfront, with nice views. Easy to walk through in about 1–2 hours. Definitely worth a visit if you want to understand Liverpool beyond the typical tourist spots.
