What a glorious, peaceful place this is. The grounds and the woodland walk are well worth the visit if you like proper English countryside, and old estate gardens. Although the gardens have taken a beating in the hot relenting sun, the staff have done their very best to keep them interesting and there is an abundance of wildlife to see if you are lucky. The small cafe was staffed by a couple of very nice and friendly ladies and the food and drink was very good. If you are in the area and enjoy peace and quiet (we got there at opening time and almost had the place to ourselves) and like to walk in the country side this place is worth a visit. Don't forget to ask for the walkers map if you want to explore further on the estate.

Visited Godolphin Estate and found it to be a smashing little place with plenty to see and do. The children particularly enjoyed the video and exploring the barn, and the gardens were lovely to walk around. The old King’s Room was a real highlight with lots of character and history. We stayed for about an hour and had a really enjoyable visit overall. Parking is free for National Trust members, which makes it even more convenient.

Lovely place to visit, staff at reception very helpful, beautiful walled gardens, gorgeous cakes, very interesting to find that King Charles the 2nd was hiding there during the civilv war.

I rejoined the National Trust. The staff were really helpful. Due to a current disability, staff accompanied me to the picnic area & gave directions where I could sit and enjoy the garden and rest. A lovely afternoon to be out in God's creation.

Wonderful 13th century house and gardens. Even sheltered King Charles 11 during English Civil War years. House history literally goes through all our history periods.. Not a huge amount of parking compared to other national trust sites,more track then road. Staff very friendly and helpful.
