A very pleasant place to spend a morning or afternoon. The surroundings are lovely and well maintained, making it a nice spot to visit and enjoy at a relaxed pace. The only point to consider is the visitor ticket price, which is £14. I understand places like this require regular maintenance, but it may feel a little high for some visitors. Overall, still worth giving it a go if you enjoy peaceful places and a good day out.

Gardens looking great. The people who work in the house are just wonderful. They obviously love the place and are so knowledgeable. Wonderful gossip about events ages ago.

A fascintating place to visit. The house is full of interesting curios, and history of a family who still live there. The grounds are varied and extensive, from formal gardens to areas where nature conservation is the focus. There is a Red squirrel hide, and if you wait long enough you may be rewarded with a glimpse of these beautiful native mammals.

The staff here were without doubt some of the best we have encountered on our Northern Ireland trip. So helpful and friendly each one brought the place alive with their knowledge and enthusiasm. So far they have set a very high benchmark for others. We visited the cafe at the end of our five hour visit for a very welcome cuppa and a bite to eat.

What a lovely place. Beautiful spring garden's. We dropped in by chance. Not enough time to see the house but will definitely go back again in the summer. We parked up our caravan at National Trust Castle Ward Caravan Park and so had free entrance to all NT properties and gardens.
