Visit websiteRemote location but fantastic sculpture garden for free - we didn't do the exhibition inside, so I can't comment, but the garden is worth checking out just for itself.
The entry price was extremely reasonable for the amount available to see. Also had a reduced rate for over 60s! Lots of interesting paintings and sculptures inside and out and a resident artist. Small but pleasant gardens.
A collection of all sorts of art in the lovely, historic location of Wallsworth Hall, Gloucestershire. They have artists in residence along with changing exhibitions. I loved the variety of art on display and the sculpture garden. There is a cafe on the ground floor. I didn't visit this time but the food did smell delicious. I plan to have lunch here next time. It costs £7.50 adult, £6.75 concessions, £20 family and under 8's go free. Also free car parking on site. It's open Tuesday - Sunday. 10am-5pm (summer) 10am-4pm (winter).
Beautiful place that celebrates the artistic view of the natural world. In early autumn when the sun was out and apples and pears were still on the tree, it was as lovely outside. Check out tge cafe and the artist in residence too. Take the No 71 bus from Gloucester to Tewkesbury and ask for Twigworth.
Great place to visit, 5 mins out of Gloucester on the A38. Follow the brown tourist signs for the entrance. Google Maps tries to take you along a private driveway. Lovely old house and gardens with sculpture trail. Several rooms of paintings, drawings, sculpture and pottery of plants and wildlife, all taking natural beauty as their inspiration. There is also a resident artist who you can talk to about their work. There are wheelchair access ramps to the main house and also a lift to get to the 1st floor exhibition rooms. There's also a nice little cafè, great food for a light lunch, and everything, including admission, was reasonably priced. If it were possible, a bit more info on techniques that can be used and the means of expression would enhance the experience for a lot of visitors not having a huge knowledge of art. I find the whole creative process and the artists vision absolutely fascinating. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend a visit here.
