We did the Butcher Room at the Aldgate locations and I honestly can't say I was very happy with our experience. The introduction we got to the room was incredibly rushed and did not feel immersive or authentic at all, not that this usually bothers me since I mostly care about the escape room itself. However, even the escape room left a lot to desire. We finished the room in 35 minutes, which is not something i expected from a room with a supposed difficulty rating of 4. Most of the puzzles were incredibly straight forward, with 1 or 2 exceptions. I'm also not sure what the "scare rating" is meant to imply since the room basically just has a bunch of spooky props laying around but they are never used in an interesting way. For 40 pounds, this was also by far the most expensive escape room I've ever done and I really expected more than mostly puzzles revolving around padlocks and number locks. Maybe the other rooms are significantly better but I honestly cannot recommend the butcher room at all.

Incredibly dissappinting! I have done many escape rooms and this is probably the most unenthusiastically presented, run down, under maintained, unimaginative and generally underwhelming experience. We completed in around 30 minutes and didn't find any of the puzzles interesting or clever. It is presented as scarey and there was literally nothing scarey other than a load of dolls in a dark room. There is no way this authentically has a 4.8 rating!

Loved our escape room here....we did the orphanage and it was great. Vienna was a fab host. Love the decor all around, will definitely be back to do another.

My friend’s and I (group of 4) really enjoyed the butcher escape room. The puzzles were good and the story was immersive. We got out in 45 mins as well.

We did the Butcher room and had a great time. Hibah was a lovely host. She explained everything clearly, made the experience more fun for us, and helped us when we needed it. The room was set up very well and felt very immersive. The riddles were difficult but we managed to escape with seconds left, thanks to some help from Hibah. Will be returning to try the other rooms!
