Visit websiteIt was nice to go to a museum that I had not visited before. All well laid out and interesting. The cafe was good too. Worth a visit, when in Hitchin. I had walked past it many times when shopping, not knowing it was there. I do now 😊
A special event was laid on for the day. The Happily ever after princess event. Lovely venue and we all enjoyed ourselves
Free to enter, donation points around tgis multi-floored museum. At this particular time it had a 1980's exhibition which was really nostalgic for me who was a teenager in this period. Absolutely loved the museum as a whole. There are interactive displays, information panels, exhibits for all ages, a learning centre and café. Nearby parking in Waitrose multi-storey car park. There is a lift but at this current time it was temporarily broken-down. Well worth a visit.
Excellent. New exhibition coming soon, '80's! Well curated local collections. Immaculately clean. Cafè. a good place to escape, hurly burly! Artefact timeline going back 100k years+ to Neanderthals...& beyond to even earlier humanoid ancestors, c. 400,000 yrs.
This place is brilliant. Two great temporary art exhibitions plus the permanent displays. So well curated and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's a café for snacks and lunch and just the best shop, great quality and amazing value. Loved it!
