I found it quite a pleasant place to be around, I was on my bike that day and the house itself was closed but I managed to get a few pictures on my film camera though I have been inside before and it holds quite a lot of history! The surrounding area is basic, but not terrible it's fun to see the mallards at least.

We initially went here to have a quick stop for a scone and a cup of tea before our flight, but was positively surprised by what a beautiful place this is. The nature around it is peaceful and refreshing, and the house itself is such a wonderful little museum, full of beautiful pieces, interactive exhibits and a lot of interesting information. The staff is all incredibly kind, and the cleanliness of the place is impeccable. Not to mention how tasty the baked goods in the cafe are! The seating area is unique with its decor, and overall, just a 5/5 star experience. Shame we were in such a rush, but I recommend this place

Wonderful museum with plenty to keep the children occupied. The hunt the mice was a triumph and the children loved it. The surrounding area with park and duck pond is good too.

A lot of the museum is about history of Luton and not so much the house. There are a few rooms with Victorian artifacts in and the decor is very period. They have a cute little Mouse Hunt for the children but they're difficult to find.

Interesting museum based in a wealthy Victorian family house with some great interactive exhibits about the house and the history of Luton. We spent about 2 hrs here including a stop for tea / ice cream in the cafe. Free parking right by the entrance and large gardens to walk around (and play frisbee)
