Northumberland Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly attraction with a great variety of animals and spacious, well-maintained enclosures. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about animal welfare. Highlights include the snow leopards, meerkats, and engaging keeper talks. The zoo offers a relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to spend several enjoyable hours exploring. A wonderful day out for animal lovers of all ages.
Really lovely zoo. Super friendly staff lots for young and old to do. We walked round twice which was great because some animals had come out the second time around. Food was pricey but you expect that but non the less a fab day out for all ages
Very neat and well maintained zoo. It’s not very big but the staff are knowledgeable. The main highlights are snow leopard, capybara, wallabies and creatures from South American region. We had a good time visiting the zoo :)
Visited while on a few days holiday in Northumberland with my fab family I Nanny for.. having a much needed break myself too. Arrived early, not long after they opened. No queue. Fantastic, clean, well cared for Zoo, with fab vibes accessible, Fun & interesting for any ages. Lots of natural wood, easy paths, wooden play areas, shelters, so much to love, so many animals, all to make great memories . Thought out main cafe area too. Food good..but all kept warm. Jacket potatoes & choose your little pots of filling us me st nutritious & better value for me ney. 2 children could share them. A Huge potatoe. Running water & rocks in the cafe too, with tons of seating. A must go too when in the area.
A brilliant little zoo, plenty of space for the animals but a nice compact zoo which I’m sure would be handy for families and people with mobility problems. Great to see plenty of investment going on and seeing the improvements in the two years since we last visited. Pasty and a cup of tea went down a treat in the great little cafe on site. Really enjoyed today and will definitely revisit again soon
