Great experience. Really enjoyed the time getting up close to some beautiful Owls and Birds of prey . Having fun being able to wear a glove so the owls could fly into your hand to feed of pieces of chicken . The staff were brilliant full of knowledge and hearing the owner at the end have a personal conversation about how it started for him by watching the film Kes ... shows how much he loves what he does and his dedication . Great day

I've driven past the sign for this place for the last 20 years and always wondered what it was like. Our little boy has recently become very interested in birds so thought we'd check this place out. So glad we did, and feel a little guilty I haven't supported such a brilliant local business earlier! The variety of birds at the sanctuary was a huge surprise. Every member of staff is clearly exceptionally passionate about what they do. The young volunteers in particular were an absolute credit to the sanctuary and clearly absolutely love their work there. The flying display was an absolute highlight. Almost an hour and a half of different birds, informative talks and the ability to put on falconry gloves and have the birds fly to you for anyone who wished to. We will definitely be back and encouraging as many people as we can to visit. Thanks for a great day out!

I went here on a Friday, very peaceful quiet time walking round the aviary seeing the different birds. I loved the flying display. Very interesting and both me and my partner got to hold a few which was amazing. We will definitely be back!

This is such an amazing place run by volunteers and it's clear to see how passionate and knowledgeable the volunteers are. I was blown away by how close and hands on you can get with the birds, they have their unique personalities - some friendly and some not interested remotely in people! The volunteers shared a little of the bird's back stories and you can see that they're well looked after here.

A bird lovers paradise! We were pleasantly surprised at how many different birds were there, some we’ve not heard of. The flight display was incredible and we couldn’t believe how up close you could get, including wearing a glove to have the birds fly to you and feed them. The team that run the centre were really friendly and knowledgeable. We couldn’t recommend it enough and today was freezing! Well worth it though and our 6 year old loved it.
