A brilliant regional Gallery- I visited specifically to see the Print room and the British Landscape exhibition. The permanent collection has lots of gems- made up of a number of private collections which were donated so there’s real themes and stories to be pulled. A must visit for fans of Modern British Art- solid curation. I also love the concept of the Reserve collection showcasing pieces that would otherwise be in storage. The volunteer staff on a Sunday were all really chatty and informative- helped shaped my viewing of the works. Also phenomenal book shop- rare editions, signed books as well as original prints. So pleased we made the trip from London!

Loved the gallery space. The temporary exhibitions were very well curated and I enjoyed the permanent collection too. The "model art gallery" exhibit was a highlight of that for me, along with Tracey Emin's "Legionnaire's column"

My wife and I thought a visit to Pallant House Gallery might be a nice little addition to our trip to Chichester for a football match. Turns out it was the best part of the day! This is a fabulous gallery. Their own permanent collection is thoughtfully set out with informative labelling, as was the impressive temporary exhibition, Seeing Each Other. The miniature artworks were another highlight. To add a personal touch, we spotted a work by Paul Winstanley, a contemporary artist my wife once worked with. We then stayed for a very good lunch! We would definitely recommend this gallery, not just if you're visiting Chichester but as the reason for visiting! It's also half price with an Art Pass, so a win all round. The football? 0-0 with a second half monsoon.

Fantastic, light and airy building with something to see for everyone. The natural light really made texture and fine detail come to life. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The cafe was exceptional and it was a beautiful day to sit outside in the courtyard. I came to see the Maggi Hambling Nightingale exhibition, breathtaking. The John Piper paintings in the museum collection were such a bonus for me. Also worth saying what an amazing bookshop they had, so many books floor to ceiling.
