Visit websiteTwo totally awesome events at this venue in the last couple of weeks: "Meet Fred" and Northern Soul. Amazing entertainment. Fabulous!
No good for a coffee. After being recommended to try the spring fir refreshments very disappointing. The barista took our order and we paid for it and weretold he wouldbring it over to us. He then carried on taking further orders for at least 5 minutes then started making the drinks. Our order was made up and then sat on a tray on the counter whilst he carried on making up the other orders. Our order was eventually bought to us. Why wasn't the order simply made when ordered and we could take it to our table rather than have a long wait. Our first and last visit. I've given it one star simply because you have to otherwise you cannot leave a comment.
Absolute disgrace of a venue. We brought two elderly residents to a show, both of whom clearly struggled to stand and walk. Staff watched them struggle as we walked around. When we went to take our seats, we were then told they couldn’t enter because they were unable to walk up the stairs. We were made to sit and wait while staff “checked if there was anything they could do”, despite the venue’s website stating that there is a lift to other floors. There were at least six empty seats at the front, yet we were refused permission to use them — even though we had spent over £80 on tickets. To make matters worse, we were refused a refund. We were told it was our fault for not booking through the box office to check disabled seating, despite the website giving no clear information that online bookings are unsuitable for disabled or elderly guests. We have since sent numerous emails requesting a refund and have been ignored. It is appalling that this venue is happy to take money from vulnerable people, including those with dementia, and then refuse reasonable adjustments or a refund when access is denied. Completely unacceptable behaviour. We will be escalating this matter further
Great little venue, I used a room here for training over a 2 week period, the catering for our lunches was great. The cafe here was busy too and their menu prices looked really affordable, I can see why it is popular. I would definitely recommend for cost effective food and room hire.
The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre is a standout venue—thoughtfully programmed, beautifully run, and quietly essential to Havant’s cultural life. Its events range from intimate lunchtime gigs to full-scale theatre, comedy, and heritage exhibitions. The team curates with care, offering performances and workshops that feel genuinely relevant and welcoming to all ages. Staff and volunteers are consistently kind, knowledgeable, and quietly brilliant. The café is a gentle bonus—fresh food, fair prices, and no pressure to rush. Even the museum section, tucked away but free to enter, offers a quiet depth that honours Havant’s layered history. The space itself is well-kept, inviting, and full of character. Whether you’re visiting for a show, a coffee, or a moment of reflection, The Spring holds space for real culture, real people, and real stories. A genuine asset to the town—and one I’ll keep returning to.
