Best all round beach in St Ives! Great for swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking and sometimes surfing and body boarding.

Its one of the beautiful beaches in Cornwall near by Hayle and st.ives. Its just beautiful white sandy beach with clear blue water. Soft and seashell crushed sand is too much fun for kids. Life cards are always there until 6pm. Lots of food shops like fish and chips, ice-cream and bar are open until 7pm.Also other beachy stuff like surface boards, kids beach toys, swimming suits and clothes shops are open until 6pm. There are lots of changing rooms in this beach so you need to worry about your wet clothes. Also fresh drinking water tab is free for everyone. This beach is full of life, full of people most of the time in summer. As we visited in end of July in school holidays. Car parking is bit tricky here but after 6pm you can easily find space near by oaod parking. Toilets are also here in the car park. Upstairs beautiful walking track and lots of benches for sitting if you just wNt to enjoy the views. This path leads to the main town. And just further away you can reach to another st.ives beach there you find lots of boat and yacht. Only thing I didn't like much thats water level which is but steep and not save for toddler. Like some other sandy beaches in uk kids can play in the water far away. But here water tide are bit high even in the evening and not much low level of water area to play. Better if they know swimming and wearing life jackets. For adults everything about this beach is beautiful.

One of the best beaches in St Ives. Golden sand, great waves, and a really lovely atmosphere. It's a popular surf beach so expect some action in the water! I also found some cute little shells and pebbles on the rocks. The backdrop of the Tate gallery and the headlands makes it really scenic.

Had a cup of tea in the cafe here this afternoon, following our visit to the Tate St Ives to buy two locals passes for a tenner each. Lovely cuppa whilst we watched the surfers doing their stuff.

Nice beach with plenty of sand to dig. Have some grub at the cafes or go for a stroll on either side. Water was too cold apart from soaking your legs when we visited.
