My child (4yrs) was attending swimming lessons with the same teacher for around 8 months - if that. Every lesson they would cry and look very unhappy and would even cry that they needed to go swimming. There was no encouragement from the teacher and I saw no progression. I enquired every lesson for a different teacher but there was nothing. I eventually stopped them going so I could look elsewhere. We’ve finally found a lovely teacher and pool. My child even said from there first lesson ‘I like this teacher she’s nice, I don’t like ****, he shouts at me’. This just confirmed I made the right choice In moving them.

I have been going to this gym for years, and it has become so much more than just a place to work out. Although it’s a smaller gym, that’s part of what makes it so special. No matter how busy it gets, there’s always enough space to train comfortably, and it has such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that you never feel overwhelmed. The gym is always spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for, which really reflects the pride everyone takes in the place. But what truly makes this gym stand out is the people. From the moment you walk through the door, the reception staff greet you with genuine warmth and kindness that instantly makes you feel welcome. It’s the kind of place where people remember you, take the time to speak to you, and make you feel valued every single visit. The gym staff are absolutely amazing. There is always someone around to offer support, encouragement, or advice whenever you need it, and they do it in such a friendly and approachable way. They never make you feel judged or pressured — they simply want to help you become the best version of yourself. Whether it’s creating tailored gym plans, offering guidance, or just giving you that extra bit of motivation on a difficult day, they always go above and beyond. Over the years, this gym has become a place I genuinely enjoy coming to, not just because of the equipment or facilities, but because of the incredible community and staff who make it feel like a second home.

Been coming to this centre for around 9 years, one of the best facilities I’ve used. Used my membership for gym and can honestly say it’s been the best place I’ve trained over the years. Really good range of equipment and weights for everything that you need. A really good atmosphere with not only fantastic staff but members too! Would def recommend to anyone looking for a local gym!

I have been a member at Rebecca Adlington for a few years now and visit regular to swim. I have also used the gym facilities which are always clean. The staff members are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Special mention to Heidi and Libby who are a great asset to the team and always professional and friendly

Absolutely love coming here! It's great for families and kids. We go for the family fun sessions, and it's perfect for little ones, the bigger kids get a bit rowdy at times though. Especially at the earlier sessions. The changing rooms are nice but could do with a bit of updating, especially in the disabled spaces as they are a bit worn out. Otherwise, no complaints. The staff are friendly and approachable. The pools are always guarded too.
