Pub very expensive, not enough parking spaces. Watch out if you park in pub carpark, you have to buy food or I think you might get fined for just parking there.

This really is an area of natural outstanding beauty and a great spot to enjoy. Two small but well located car parks, one of which is dedicated to the patrons of the pub and another is council run. The access road down is limited, so if you’re in a large vehicle you may want to consider this, as it is restrictive. The Ship Inn and Boathouse both serve great food, drink and ice cream, great to sit out on a hot day and watch the world go by. Gets really busy at peak times.

Love this place, but make sure you go when the tide is out! Walk all the way to benclech and back. Worth stopping at the caravan park restaurant, when it re opens, or visit the pubs in red dwarf bay to warm up. Perfect beach for letting the dogs run free, it’s never busy here and loads of space to walk without tripping over other people. In the summer there are lots of streams through the beach for the kids to jump in and get wet. Fully recommend this beach to families and dog walkers.

Absolutely stunning bay that just never seems to change even after years of coming back. You could take a photo at any angle and it would be just amazing definitely a beach to visit on a sunny day ☀️

We had a little trouble with the narrow road down to the wharf in our Motorhome. There are two car parks....one owned by the beachside pub and not allowed on unless you are eating/drinking in there but there’s a barrier lower than our Motorhome so we didn’t go in. If our Motorhome isn’t welcome then we’re not spending money in your establishment! We parked in front of two cafes with an ice cream parlour at the front. Outside seating available and they don’t mind your dog with you. There were several locals meeting up and seemed to do so on a regular basis so we thought food and service would be good - and it was. We had a lovely breakfast and stayed for extra coffee as the views were so nice as well. Sod the pub!
