Visit websiteView menuMy wife and I and our elderly father in law had a fantastic day exploring the beautifully restored walled gardens, which are a brilliant mix of precise, elegant structure and vibrant, natural planting.Every area has its own distinct character, but the sheer scale of the Weston Walled Garden and the peaceful atmosphere around the lake were real highlights. The attention to detail by the gardening team is world-class—everything is meticulously maintained, well-signposted, and designed to look spectacular across the seasons. We found the visitor centre to be modern and welcoming, featuring a great cafe with excellent food and, of course, a superb plant centre that makes it nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. Accessibility is top-notch throughout, with wide, flat paths making it an easy and relaxing stroll and easy for our father in law to get around in the mobility scooter provided free by Bridgewater. Whether you are a passionate horticulturist looking for inspiration or just want a peaceful day out in beautiful surroundings, RHS Bridgewater is a must-visit.
Really lovely place This is beautiful gardens. Go early to avoid the crowds. My friend has problem walking and they have electric mobility scooters you book in advance (book early though) If it is your first time, I recommend you join a free tour, the guides are very knowledgeable The grounds are wheelchair friendly. Cafe is good, although seats are limited.
I first went to RHS gardens as part of the nationally lottery £1 promotion earlier this year. I loved it so much I got my membership and went back with my family yesterday. It’s huge, lots of amazing flowers and plants. Great spaces to relax and both times I’ve had coffee and cake and actually really liked the coffee. I’m going to admit I am a bit of a coffee snob. Gorgeous flowers and plants and it’s still spring! Can’t wait to see it in summer. Oh and my kids spent ages in the park, like more than an hour. Even though it was kind of busy it’s so big and we also took sandwhiches and had a picnic. We plan to go once a month. My new favourite place!
Really enjoyed RHS Bridgewater. We were admitted under the £1 ticket scheme as a benifit claiment, having met the desired cruteria as detailed on the web site. My father akso rented a dissability scooter which was very easy to operate. The paths were very accessible. A huge site over 150 acres. Pleanty to enjoy. Staff were very helpful. Gets very busy from June as expected. Cafe's on site and a garden center and shop too a little pricy but typical of such palces. Overal the foliwers were beautiful and in such a lovley setting. Got loads of ideas for my gaeden. A thourghly good day out liads of pinicing areas for lunch too.
Visited on a day ticket which I don’t feel offers good value for money Would recommend buying a year pass and currently there are a few discounted offers on to reduce the cost Few sections were closed off and were work in progress and perhaps think a visit late June early July may offer more colourful blooms than currently flowering in spring time. Food and drink selection good and was very busy Plant shop offered many different plants with some special discount offers Would return
