A lovely place for the whole family to enjoy! The little ones will love the large playground, and while the gardens aren’t the biggest, they’re beautifully kept and very clean. The zoo is open until 5 pm, and parking costs £4 during the week and £5 on weekends and bank holidays. The car park closes at 8 pm. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing family day out.

Fantastic day out! I visited here today with my two young children. We've all had a great day here. We went to the mini children's zoo, then had a picnic- there are plenty of areas/ space to do so. Kids played in the playground, I liked the range of equipment so children of all ages had something to keep them occupied. We went to the botanical Gardens and then had a ride on the Thomas the Tank Engine train. There's plenty more that we did not get to do so we'll definitely be back for another visit. Car park was reasonable, £4 for the whole day and there were plenty of toilets. Only thing, is there isn't a public water fountain but we bought bottles of water at cafe and they re filled then for us too.

I highly recommend going into the glasshouse to see all the plants. It is so peaceful and feels like you’ve stepped into a tropical paradise. The food at the cafe is pretty good I love the organic lemonade. The whole place makes a great day out and you can’t miss a walk around the zoo.

Always a lovely time. I think parking was £5 all day although there is no other options. Always ice cream available, fairly well maintained toilets, a vast kid play area and some fair rides and a free zoo (zoo doesn't allow dogs).
