A great place to bring your family for some fresh air and a walk. It's also a popular place to bring dogs and if you're a dog owner/lover like we are, then it is great for dog walking. There are several playgrounds which vary in size and theme distributed throughout the park, which are great opportunities for parents to have a little pit stop while the kids burn off some energy. There's a tea room adjacent to the car park so you can grab refreshments when you arrive, or just before you leave. There's also an ice cream van midway round the walk which the kids always enjoy. There is also a shop to rent bikes if you feel so inclined. The park is clean and well-maintained and is pleasant place to visit as a family.

Went on an evening bat walk, after an interesting introduction by their specialist. Frequency detectors made it fascinating to hear bats coming and the range of frequencies they eco-locate with. Walked through the park and around one big pool, amid and after the sunset. It happened to be a planet Parade of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, with the moon that night (23.05.26) so saw that among the pre-pitch dark night. The country park is home to 3 out of 18 species of bat that are found in the UK. 🦇

First time there, with not very high expectations. Was pleasantly surprised. Really nicely done with good paths around the park and good parking. The weather was surprisingly kind, which always helps 😊
