Telford Steam Railway offers families an immersive journey into Shropshire's railway heritage with multiple attractions in one venue. Visitors can ride the Standard Gauge Railway along a historic 150-year-old line stopping at three historic stations, experience the unique Telford Town Tramway traveling behind a working steam tram, and explore the narrow gauge line around Horsehay Works. The Top Link Model Railway provides a miniature adventure around an impressive model layout with working locomotives. The venue caters to families of all ages with a pay-once-ride-all-day ticket system offering unlimited travel across all three railways. Special themed experiences include The Polar Express Train Ride, a theatrical and interactive festive journey, and dining services offering Fish & Chip Specials and Cream Tea Services. The railway operates seasonally from Easter through September on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, with additional special events throughout 2026. It really is a hidden gem with such a charm to it. With enthusiastic volunteers, plenty of locomotives and wonderful model trains, you're surely to have a full day out here. The gift shop has reasonable prices. There is plenty of toilets, a cafe and model railway exhibition. A bit thank you to the gift shop lady, who was so wonderful.

Great little steam railway, with both steam and diesel engines.plenty of parking. Good facilities toilets, cafe gift shop, staff very helpful and friendly the lady in the gift shop was fantastic. They also have a museum about the history of the railway a large working model railway on display ,lots of old rolling stock waiting to be restored. model trains you can ride on and a vintage railtram. They run events throughout the year. It's only open Sundays and Bank holiday Mondays and event days. They also have a website. You can easy spend thed day or afternoon here it was very good.

Very nice standard railway not very long at the moment but has plans to expaned also has a steam tram 5 inch railway model layouts and a great cafe All the staff were very friendly and informative Open on sundays and bank holidays ?

Easy to drop off, parking close. Staff to find entrance to retrieve tickets very helpful and professional. Event amazing staff on the Prancer carriage were amazing, my 3 year old little girl loved it, worth the money to see the look on your child's face if they love "The Polar Express" my second time with 3 years apart I loved it even at 48.
