Update: I heard from the centre manager the next day after this was posted. I replied with a detailed account of my experience on the evening of 10 March. There was no confirmation of receipt, nor expected timeframe of a further response. My previous experience still stands. TL;DR: Climbing centre with empty promises, chaotic management and undertrained staff. Not recommended for first timers or people with special needs. For full disclosure I actually have nothing against the coaches or the facilities here at all - they seem capable as far as my limited experience goes. But management as well as customer service here are a completely different story. I bought a pack of six passes including auto belay intro. There was nothing available for booking on the website. I reached out via email twice with no response, also tried calling both numbers i found on their website; no one ever picked it up. I don’t live in the area, i signed up with this centre simply because they offer the auto belay option. I dropped by the centre twice, both times someone promised they’d get back to me. I didn’t get a response the first time, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed (naturally with no guarantee) maybe I’ll hear from someone after today’s visit. Note the passes do come with an expiry date, and there's simply no autobelay intro class available for booking at all within the validity of my passes, hence why I felt the need to keep chasing for clarity. I understand people working at the reception may not have the power to decide or change anything. But when a customer has had frustrating experiences for a few times already, the last thing you want to say to them is “I’m sorry if you felt that way”. By saying that you’re not taking accountability and ownership of what caused the distress and frustration, which is the poor and chaotic management of the company you’re working for. When I explained why I got frustrated because of the service I received and how I wasn’t targeting my complaint at them at all, the person at reception acted as if I were the one at fault, that I was being unfair and personal. There’s no reason for me to get personal at anyone. I simply wanted to receive the service I paid for and was promised. I would’ve explained the situation the same way to anyone else, by stating the facts. And this person even told me in the face again later that I made them feel targeted, AFTER I thanked them for their effort and explained, again, that it wasn’t meant to be personal. There was a lot of passive aggressiveness. Throughout the communication, I was aware that it’d take a bit of time to communicate and find a solution, and so I let them get back to the other customers waiting in line while I waited, for more than 30 minutes in the end. I don’t know how much more understanding they expected me to be. While I waited, I also saw them answering to someone else who appeared to be on the spectrum. And their response sounded so dismissive and defensive, even when the person was simply asking for the toilet. I felt sorry for that person who asked. There was clearly a lack of empathy. Maybe they just had a bad day, but the service was totally unprofessional and borderline disrespectful and discriminatory. Even if I do hear from them after this time, I’m honestly not sure if I would feel comfortable enough to come back for that intro session I bought. Now I genuinely fear if the situation would fester into a personal vendetta. They have my personal details, they know who I am. I don’t feel safe when a staff member turns passive aggressive at their customers just like that. The management and customer service have been an entire letdown, chaotic and unprofessional. Just wanted to share my full experience with as much detail as possible so people know what they could expect when they come here. I can imagine if you already know what you’re doing and if you just want to come here for a climb, you’d probably have a decent, enjoyable time. However, I wouldn’t recommend this place for first timers, or anyone with special needs.

Staff are so helpful here. It is a well rounded climbing gym for all climbing styles. I like the dark matting in contrast with the colours of the boulder walls. The seating areas are such a bonus. Well designed space and setting too.

It's really a very good climbing gym. The setting is creative and challenging, with a fairly modern style yet also with a lot of crimps. There is a lot of wall space for bouldering, lead and auto-belay. The sport routes are mostly vertical, so consider that. They also have training boards and a well equipped work-out area on the ground floor. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are steep at £16 for an adult, but gyms in London are expensive in general.

The font is an excellent climbing centre - friendly helpful team, reasonably priced and not overly busy. Mix of members from young adults, kids and more seasoned climbers. Great vibe and would recommend giving them a try.
