My favourite theme park in the UK, I love the rides so much that I had to buy a merlin annual pass to repeat visit for free. If you are looking for shorter queue times I reccomend booking tickets for cooler months, as that's the only time you'll find queues under an hour! I go here roughly every month or two and I'm always so satisfied with the rides. My favourites are Hyperia (especially back row), Saw, Swarm and Stealth. The summer here is awful as it is swarmed (swarm reference 😉) with school kids that often cause problems, especially on rides like storm surge, which can cause delays. Rides often break down here which is annoying but if you were in the queue and it gets closed you may be eligible for a free fast track that they give to you. Food is quite overpriced but honestly what do you expect from a theme park. The lack of shade in this park as well is a concern, as there is barely anywhere to keep cool in hot weather (the new launchpad area only has a few umbrellas but they are always filled with people). The worst thing about this park is the thorpe park bus (costing about 4 pounds per person) which is a nightmare to use especially getting back from the park as it is so stuffy in the single decker bus that is always STUFFED with people (literally up to the front doors), so I'd avoid at all costs if you get carsick! My boyfriend literally had to get off the bus halfway through the journey because of how sick he felt and how stuffy it was in there and he could barely make it out the doors. Fright nights are really nice, its very scary (for someone who gets scared super easily) and I love how the park stays open for longer, the views are really nice, especially on taller rides like stealth and hyperia, and the lights give it a really cool vibe. The booking process for buying tickets is quite simple which is good, doesn't take long or a hassle to buy your tickets: if you are a student get the discounted ticket! I feel like queue jumping is managed quite well in this park, I haven't had many incidents where someone has pushed past, and if someone does queue jump there are QR codes throughout the queue line to report it which is lovely. Overall, I think it is a great theme park but it would be nice if there was more seating around the park and most importantly they really need to do something about that darn shuttle bus of hell, ideally they should get a double decker one or a bendy bus to accommodate for the large amount of people they transport.

Really good day out at Thorpe Park this week. The majority of the rides were open, we were disappointed that Vortex and Quantum were shut plus a couple of others, especially having paid £149 each for Fastrack for 14 rides, and we only actually could go on 10. Highly recommend Fastrack despite the huge cost of it! The queues were ridiculous despite not being that busy but there's always school trips which doesn't help. If you can, go on Hyperia first as that went from 0 mins queue to 75 mins in the space of 10 minutes - if you are quick you won't need to buy a Fastrack for this! Hyperia is outstanding,that good that it ruined the rest of the rides for us 😂 except Stealth/Swarm, they're firm favourites. Tidal Wave only go on if its warm, you'll get soaked! Ghost Train and Ready Player One experience were shockingly bad, however thats our own opinion. Lots of choice food wise depending what you fancy - don't go to Burger King tho, that's really gone downhill since i was younger,makes McDonalds look good! Parking is right outside the front door which is great as easy access, £12 tho... but the park tickets are cheap so overall not a bad price to get in. Lockers are available at around £5, well worth it if you're like me and carry the world in your bag. Expensive day overall but at least we can say we've done it. Personal opinion is Alton Towers is a lot better, but again, each to their own!

(Massive paragraph warning) Ive been here 6 times so far and just wow, I love this place so much I will never get tired of it. It is the best place in the universe, every time I visit I get butterflies in my stomach, the island music gives me chills and it makes me feel something that no other place can ever make me feel. The staff are wonderful, they are so hardworking and get the job done, no matter what weather conditions, they always give 110%. They are so kind and patient and do their best to make guests happy, and they do not fail. I just want Thorpe park to know how amazing it is and I just love it so much and I really hope to become part of the team one day. However I think it’d be great to have a single rider queue in every ride and I would love more fans/cooling stations around the park especially in hot weather. Summer IS coming up soon and it will of course be packed so it would be wonderful to get more of those fans out. Sometimes rides can break down a lot and queues can get massive but other than that, the park is fantastic. Ive been on all the top thrills and loved all of them, except detonator, I’m still trying to not be absolutely terrified of it, scary drop haha. Hyperia thoughts: best of the best, feels like I’m flying and so unbelievably high, views are amazing on the lift hill and the second inversion which is also so lovely and floaty, such a smooth ride and I adore the ride music, I could go on and on about this ride, my favourite 💖 Colossus: love the inversions and after the first drop when you go under the bridge, it’s like an unbelievable experience and I’m so lucky to have went on it 15 times, adore front row and yes its rough but that has never stopped me from enjoying my second favourite ride The swarm: theming is great, love the ride itself so much, the views before the drop is just unreal, I wish I could capture that moment forever, smooth ride and love the near-misses, front row is the best Vortex: literally love this one so much, my day isn’t complete if I don’t go on vortex at least 2 times, so smooth the whole ride, love the ride music so much, just a giant spinning swing and feels so good Nemesis inferno: love how fast it is and the pre lift hill is amazing, it’s so cool how its inverted, little rough but so enjoyable, front row is great Saw: rough ride but its fun, drop in the dark was crazy and honestly I like that they designed that, very fitting for the ride. Wish the restraints weren’t actually built to torture, it’s a good ride regardless, theming is so good Samurai: best cycle of all flat rides, it’s so long and gives you time to actually enjoy the ride more, I love the outside seat so much, rough and a bit jerky but so fun Stealth: crazy launch, its genuinely so fast and high and I’m still scared of the launch but it’s actually fun, it’s like a drug, love this ride Rush: giant swing, literally. Very short cycle but it is real fun Detonator: personal beef with this one. I flew up all 3 times I went on this and it’s so fast and scary, the longer I’m at the top the more I’m scared, I’m gonna try face my fears next time I visit and go on it again, don’t literally hate this ride but it’s so scary lol Also I love all the facilities at the park, there’s free water, sunscreen, toilets, lockers, drying stations, cooling stations, places to relax, guest services, shops, it’s just so lovely. Thorpe park is just amazing. If I could, I would literally live at the park, I know this is a long review (sorry to anyone who reads this super long message) I just adore Thorpe park too much and wrote all of this with my whole heart, I love Thorpe park with the entirety of my body forever, thank you ❤️

Finally conquered Hyperia at Thorpe Park. The teenagers in the queue were filming TikToks and discussing who’d scream the loudest. The over-40s were comparing knee injuries, discussing parking and quietly wondering if we’d made a terrible mistake. The climb gives you plenty of time to reflect on every major life decision that brought you to this point. Then comes the drop. I discovered that what I enjoy isn’t thrills, but the idea of thrills. The reality was shouting “OH, FOR GOD’S SAKE” into the Surrey skyline while gripping the restraint for dear life. Absolutely loved it. Would I go on again? Yes. Immediately? No. I needed a sit down, a bottle of water and a discussion about whether my stomach had always been located quite so far to the left. Brilliant day. The ride lasts two minutes, but the over-40s post-ride analysis lasted the entire journey home.

We visited Thorpe Park on Friday and Saturday to celebrate our daughter’s upcoming 17th birthday, and what an incredible experience it was! Our family of five, including our children aged 17, 8, and 5, had an absolutely fantastic time. It can sometimes be difficult to find attractions that suit such a wide range of ages, but Thorpe Park exceeded all our expectations. There was something for everyone, and every member of our family thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The rides and attractions were outstanding, exciting, well-maintained, and incredibly fun. We were also pleasantly surprised by how efficiently everything was organised, as we didn’t have to wait very long for most of the attractions. What really stood out to us was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Every employee we encountered was polite, helpful, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making visitors’ experiences enjoyable. The park itself was clean, well-presented, and had a fantastic atmosphere throughout both days. We created wonderful family memories and left feeling absolutely delighted. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you, Thorpe Park, for making our daughter’s birthday celebration so special. We are all completely fascinated by the park and can’t wait to visit again!
