Visited Zoo with the family recently. Overall, it was an okay day out, but we were a little disappointed that quite a few enclosures were empty or only had a few animals, so it didn't quite meet our expectations. 🦒🐒 The kids absolutely loved the splash area, which was definitely the highlight of the visit. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the day, and the toilets were clean and well maintained. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🚻 The only other downside was the food. After waiting in a long queue, we were told that most of the food had sold out, so we ended up just getting drinks. Hopefully they can improve this during busy periods. 🍔🥤 Overall, it was a decent family day out, with a few areas that could be better. ☀️😊

Visited today as part of the fathers day offer. I don't think it's as bad as some of the reviews make out to be. The gruffalo part of the zoo is a good addition for little kids, they have a soft play inside too but I believe that should have been free for all instead of £6. Parking at £4 is reasonable and plenty of payment machines dotted around for that so make sure you pay or face a letter in the post. We didn't see the tiger, giraffe or leapord but we got to see most of the other animals. Food is overpriced but it's the same anywhere these days. The splash pool was operating and was a much welcome part of the visit for us and every other parent.

This place is absolutely imaginative there is soany animals and reptiles. The staff are very knowledgeable and tell you all about the animals. You can pay to go feed the animals and learn more about them and meet the zoo keeper. The have a few cafes and serve foods and drinks They have toilet. They really are a proper kids friendly and wheelchair access place they have a play zone for the children near the entrance and a area of the gruffalo. You can go into the bird sanctuary and feed the birds and also go into the butterfly house they fly around u even land on you my most favourite has got to be such how beautiful this place comes together and shows so much love to these animals I got emotional a few times but the place is incredible absolutely beautiful for family or even a couples day out. It's best to get the ticket for your family for a year you can then go back many times

We only live 20 minutes from here and with the 12 months free annual pass when you buy the tickets we've been so many time with our toddler. Its perfect for q couple of hours to entertain kids and they have a fantastic indoor soft play. My daughter loves it and to be honest we've really enjoyed seeing the animals. They are always doing something different each time. It's not the biggest zoo with the largest collection of species but such great value for money. We'll be getting another annual pass again this year. I can't fault Tywcross zoo for being a great source of learning and enjoyment for my child. Better than a random soft play each week. Highly recommend if you love locally and have children.

Been a good number of years since I've been here and have to say I was really impressed with it now. The animal attractions were great and there is plenty to see, and the enclosures had plenty of viewing options. Food options were ok, but the staff were a little slow at serving. We did spend a good number of hours here and you can visit again within a year of your ticket purchase, parking isn't free, so remember to pay before you leave!
