Well I was only meant to be driving my wife to have an Alpaca walk... Yet once I was handed the reigns that was me hooked, what a fun time with the coolest, most chilled, relax inducing animals I have met. Learnt loads, saw one being born and now have an appreciation for an animal I barely knew outside of wife's Alpaca yarn collection. Surprised in the extreme, they are the coolest dudes

We happened to come across this in the borders magazine and decided to give it a go….we were not disappointed. Jean and Stuart welcomed us, made us feel comfortable and went through each and every name of the alpacas we were out walking with. The whole experience was relaxing, nice stroll through the woods and just a really good vibe. I would recommend it for families of all ages, it really was an enjoyable experience for me and my 9 year old!

We booked in for the meet the Alpacas session and it was incredible. We were met warmly by Penny and had wonderful conversations about formation, coats and the husbandry and pedigree of the Alpacas all whilst feeding and being in amongst the gentle and friendly animals. The passion of the team is evident and the management of the animals is done perfectly. A couple of my favourite Alpacas included Ziggy and the other young fawn one who were cheeky teenagers and always around us, as well as the very handsome Finn and Storm, and big gentle Dawn! It was my first interaction with Alpacas and they have a calming and relaxing nature and likely started something! We will be back to see this year's youngsters when they arrive!

Would thoroughly recommend. The trek was a delight and the alpacas friendly and of course very cute. We got plenty of time for the walk and were able to enjoy stunning views of the Tweed Valley. On return to the farm we were not rushed and had plenty of time with the baby alpacas (cria). Stuart and Jean took the time to introduce the unique characteristics of the alpacas that each of us walked on our trek and made sure we felt comfortable and, although I am sure we asked them the same questions they often get asked, they were really thoughtful in answering and sharing stories about individual alpacas as well as stories about their farm. Definitely plan to visit again and the only thing I would recommend being prepared for is the unpredictable Scottish weather!
