Most staff are polite and friendly. The swimming pool is very basic but the kids seem to love it. Nice little gym but sometimes can get quite full so it's hard to use the machines you require. If I'm honest the whole building could do with a makeover and extension, but it's good for what it is and what they have.

Great for beginners, intermediates will want more It's okay if you're new to the gym or if just want to do Cardio, and some light weights to keep fit, but as a relatively active 31 year old I really struggled to get into this gym. There is no designated space for stretching, or sit-ups, press ups and I always felt quite awkward doing these basic movements in this gym. It's quite small, and the weights section is limited to 25kg max which might be limiting if you've already got a decent level of strength and want to get in a good chest day, it's alao usually occupied unless you get In when it's not busy. If you want to build muscle quickly I wouldn't recommend it as there's better gyms in the local area with a bit more space. But if you're new the the gym, it might be a good place to start. If you sign up for a month, and cancel because you don't like it, they'll charge you another month after quitting because the terms and conditions ask for one month's notice - if you ask nicely to wave this, they'll refuse.

Pool is basic, there is a shallow area which is accessible by ramp and suitable for wheelchair users. The area is also used for swimming lessons for young non swimmers. There is a flume at the side of the main pool but personally I have never seen it open. Changing rooms are situated to the side of the pool. All are cubicles with a bench seat inside and locking doors. They are gender free. Lockers and hairdryers are available, as are showers at the side of the pool. The pool offers swimming lessons which are well attended, and plastic seats are available around the pool. Walton Lifestyles also offers a small gym, which I can't comment on, as I haven't used it.
