The whole town was beautiful back. The beach was great. Don't forget your swimsuit. They also had donkey rides and lots of carnival rides. So much history too. The train that takes you from the main part of town to the esplanade. It's super easy

As others have mentioned ironed the beach is bleak. Weymouth has massive issues with health, mainly the place is a health crisis according to the NhS and you’ll sadly see morbid obese children burnt to a crisp just like their seniors. The water quality is poor as well, very murky with heavy industry surrounding the place and tanks just off the coast.

It was great not having to share this lovely beach with dogs, plenty of signage advising of this. There is a designated area for them. The no cycling allowed along the prom during certain times was also a bonus, just to be able to relax and enjoy the promenade without the worry of dodging cyclists. Also very clean too.

People sit on the quayside curbs with a portion of fish and chips in hand, watching the boats pass by and the Town Bridge lift. This is also the starting point for fishing trips and excursions along the Jurassic Coast. ​A mandatory part of any visit is the local ice cream parlors (such as Rossi’s Ices), which have been serving ice cream using unchanged recipes for years. The town strikes a unique balance: on one side, you have the bustling promenade with its amusement arcades, and on the other, quiet, cobbled streets filled with independent boutiques and antique shops. ​After sunset, colorful fairy lights flicker on along the promenade, giving the town a romantic, slightly nostalgic character. A stay in Weymouth is a very "British" experience in the best sense of the word. It isn’t a modern, glass-and-steel resort, but a place with a huge soul where everyone feels welcome. It is a town that doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not—and that authenticity is its greatest charm. ​Be sure to try some seafood straight from the boat and take a walk toward Nothe Fort—the view of the entire bay from there is breathtaking!
