We went here to see the falcon flying. However the weather was too bad for the birds to fly safely. But to be fair, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We looked around the well stocked museum that was full of history and information. Then we walked around the grounds and enjoyed the animals and cafe and all of the other things that are there to entertain the family all day long. Great place for young families. We will recommend this place to people 👌

A lovely place to visit. We visited recently with the family and there was loads to do and we spent nearly the whole day there. Our day started with the deer train, we were offered food for the deer and llamas and off we went. The driver gave a detailed explanation of the animals we were about to encounter, once we got there the animals came right up to us for us to feed. We also attended the small animal holding session, I personally didn’t take part but the young ones in the family really enjoyed holding and stroking the hamsters and rabbits and a gerbil. There was also a couple other small animals to have a look at. There are also a good number of play areas including Harry the combine harvester, the digger is a cool addition and for £1 you can dig to your heart’s content for a little bit. We also visited the pen area where some baby goats were kept, along with cute calves etc; you are able to feed the animals here, but make sure you do it early as they become uninterested later in the day. The last place we visited before heading home was the birds of prey, where a large variety of birds of prey were on display. The only thing that could be better about our visit was if the bird show wasn’t cancelled, however I understand that it was because of the wind. You can easily spend a whole day here, and I do recommend making a visit here.

A brilliant day out for the whole family—World of Country Life absolutely delivers on fun, variety, and a bit of unexpected chaos (the good kind). There’s a fantastic range of animals to see and interact with, and the hands-on experiences really make it special. The goat walking alone is worth the visit—equal parts wholesome countryside charm and mild unpredictability, depending on how cooperative your goat decides to be that day. Feeding the animals is a hit with kids and adults alike… although be prepared to be judged by a goat if you’re too slow with the snacks. The train ride is a standout feature. Rolling through the park with wild deer and llamas casually strolling alongside you feels surprisingly magical—like a low-budget safari, but with much friendlier faces and significantly less danger. On top of that, the museums are a hidden gem. There’s an impressive collection of vintage cars, steam engines, and fascinating bits of history that add a nice educational twist to the day (don’t worry—it’s the kind of learning that doesn’t feel like learning). All in all, it’s a well-rounded, entertaining day out with something for everyone. Animals, activities, history, and just enough unpredictability to keep things interesting. Would definitely recommend—and yes, we’d absolutely go again.

Visited today (Good Friday) and had a brilliant time. We expected it to be busier given it is Easter but it was ideal. We were a family of four - 2 adults and a 5 and 3 year old. This is the perfect age for a visit, with absolutely loads to do even if weather is rubbish. Highly recommend the deer train with driver John too. We'll definitely be back next year.

Such an amazing place to visit. Has to be one of our favourite attractions around - so much to do and see. All the events are fantastic and every member of staff is lovely. The animals are well cared for. Whenever we visit my daughter and I can’t stop grinning, thank you to everyone here. To John and his wife especially - your enthusiasm really shines through and you make a world of difference. Ferret racing is still hilarious after the 10th time, and the deer train is a unique experience.
