About this event
Be a Chorister for a Day 2026 is part of the programme at Exeter Cathedral. It is "an experience for children aged 6-10 (school years 2-5) who love to sing", led by the Cathedral's Director of Music, Mr Timothy Noon, and his team.
What to expect:
- Saturday 28 November 2026; sign in 10:45am and sign out 4:45pm at the main entrance
- Singing practice in the Song Schools, a guided tour and a Cathedral-themed art class
- Ends by singing with the choristers at the 4pm Christingle Service, which all family members are invited to
- Children are looked after all day; parents are invited to a 2pm presentation
- Bring a packed lunch and a named water bottle; biscuits are provided
- "The experience is free of charge"; book each child's place on the online form
- No musical experience needed, just an enthusiasm for singing
