About this event
Smell the Solar System. Launch a rocket. Chase light across the Universe… Unboxing the Universe is a multi-sensory live science show that turns big space questions into exciting moments of discovery and wonder.
What to expect:
- 24 and 25 October, 14 and 15 November, 12 and 13 December 2026
- Shows at 11.30am and 1.30pm in the Lecture Theatre
- Live demos from Royal Observatory astronomers, weird and wonderful smells and audience participation
- Questions like: what is a black hole, and what does our Solar System smell like?
- Unboxing the Universe is for 7+; older or younger siblings are admitted
- All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
- £8 for adult / child / student ticket
