Great place for a day out, one of the cleanest beaches I’ve seen in the UK. A lot to do not just the beach. Very nice short or long walks around the coast, parks arcades and a lot of good fish and chips.

Went to Barry island during a classic car show and was really good. Amazing place without beautiful cars everywhere

I only went here for one reason and it was for other peoples requests, so I took a detour from Cardiff, the one thing that it has is an amazing view from the prom, with nice sandy beach, goog walks along the prom too. I got the photo's I was needing to take and left. The prom has got a pretty good cafe which was busy, every seat outside was taken, with shows on the otherside, I could imagine it would look entirely different at night, it wasn't what I was expecting to be honest, due to tv show.

Even though the weather was changeable, strong wind, clouds, sun didn't stop me from exploring the island. The view leaves you breathless. The promenade is full of cafes, fish and chips and the amusement park. Try the donuts on the promenade, they are delicious.

This is a beautiful place! The beach is very clean and is an alcohol free zone. Great for families. I didn't come across any dogs on the beach. Life guards are actively on the beach. Views are stunning, cargo ships planes
