I went to the pier early one morning. The sun was shining and it was just me and another person enjoying the peaceful view and the sun's rays creating long shadows on the wooden boards. Then I had a coffee in the pier café. Lovely!
A lovely and peaceful walk along the coast. The neighbourhood feels calm and well cared for. The sea views, pier, and classic lamps create a relaxed atmosphere. It’s easy to get there too, with a short train ride from Cardiff Central taking around 15 minutes. A simple but very enjoyable escape from the city.
So serene and peaceful. Enjoyed winter sun in -4C. Loved the cold breeze and sunny warmth. Absolutely beautiful Pier.
People do swim here when the tide is in. Fish and chips near the pier. Other eating places too. Parking is at the top of the hill , with toilets , then you have ti walk back down to the beach. No sand , just pebbles and then mud at low tide. There are fossils on the beach if you walk round ti the Barrage. Be careful of high tides .
Not for swimming, but for walking around it’s fine :) The walking path has nice cafes. Don't forget to try ice cream from the traditional ice cream shop on the Penarth Pier Pavilion! 🏃🏼🚴🏼♂️🛴
