Blaise is an amazing place to go to the playground walk the dog and sit in the cafe. There is a beautiful brook, forest and lots of history to see. They have toileta but they tend to smell, otherwise its an amazong place

Great place to walk the dogs. Fields, woodland trails and a cool castle to find. Really easy parking too.

We had such a good time, we did a good 2 hour hike, it could have been longer or shorter and then Paul let us go to the top of the castle for the most spectacular views all the way across to Wales..it's a must do in Bristol

Great place to visit. It felt like somewhere far away, like we went to a hilly countryside, like a part of Snowdonia. The way to the castle is easy from the car park, but we've decided to go towards the museum and by the riverside, all the way around, walking up and down hills. It was showering on off that day, lots off mud, so good waterproof trecking shoes recommended. I wore my drMartens and it was ok, but trainers not recommended for such trip... Beautiful quiet area, dog friendly, lots off nature obviously. Amazingly spent family time. Recommending for family day out.

Tried to visit blaise castle last week as its a usual spot for us to go on a lovely family day out and its always been a great place for a nice long walk with a bit of history at the museum. However when we arrived we found the grass area by the house was filled with caravans as it seems travellers have been set up there for a while. There was a car driving around on the grass area where your supposed to be able to sit and picnic so you couldn't really walk as it would have been dangerous. I was pleasantly surprised to find out when we tried going back this week that they had been moved on , well done to the volunteers at Blasie who made sure all areas of the estate were cleaned and back to normal. Had a lovely walk around and visited the Hamlet. The community garden was open as well which had a lovely little group playing live music on the walk around.
