Blue Lagoon Warm Water Centre

Eastbourne, United Kingdom•4.4(163)•Swimming Pool

Enjoy luxury warm water swimming in intimate, heated pools perfect for families with babies, toddlers and young children.

Blue Lagoon Warm Water Centre offers a unique swimming experience in two completely separate, heated pools maintained at a comfortable 33-34 degrees Celsius—significantly warmer than standard public pools. Each pool measures 10 metres by 5 metres with consistent 1.2-metre depth and features a shallow shelf ideal for young children to stand and adults to supervise comfortably. The centre is specifically designed for families with young children, accommodating up to 10 adults with small children per session. Facilities include warm changing rooms (maintained at 26 degrees) with both communal and private options, a newly opened reception area with a coffee shop serving Lavazza coffee and snacks, and pool-side spectator areas. The intimate setting eliminates the overwhelm of large public swimming pools. Visitors can choose from regular swim classes, open swim sessions with small groups, or private pool rentals for exclusive family time. Advanced safety systems include UV sterilisation treatment, automatic chlorine and pH monitoring every 60 seconds, and CCTV coverage. The centre also offers underwater photography sessions and therapeutic swimming options. All activities require advance booking through their online system, making it easy for families to plan visits.

This is a lovely place for little ones and those wanting to a bit of exercise alike. The staff are friendly, showing us where everything is, where to place our belongings, toilets, changing rooms etcetera. The pool rooms and water are nice and warm, great for very young children, the lighting and atmosphere is nicely lit, not overpowering on the lighting giving a calm feel. Changing facilities are perfect, and the front has refreshments, toys and seating ideal if you are waiting. Parking is pretty good around there. Definitely worth visiting, we will be back very soon, many thanks.

My son learnt to swim at the blue lagoon. We were really pleased with the nice warm pool, smaller class sizes, lovely teachers and enjoyable lessons. They also taught water safety and confidence. We will miss the swimming teacher Sharon who was so kind and patient with my son.

A lovely centre and a very accommodating friendly receptionist. My husband and I both have a couple of disabilities autism being one of them which makes a warm water pool perfect for us due to our sensory needs. We was worried as we were not able to secure transport for our 2:30pm. The receptionist was so lovely as to adjust our timing for us so we did not miss out we are very grateful. Would recommend this pool and is very family friendly as well for those with children.

Excellent warm water pool, I brought my baby at 3 months for their first swim and am still coming over a year later. The pool is lovely and warm, the lunchtime slots I usually book are lovely and quiet (have had the pool to myself on more than one occasion!). Reception always so friendly and there’s a nice seating area with some toys and a slide which is perfect for before/after. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
