So much more than we had expected. Fusion for academic research leisure and cafe in beautiful location within the Durham Uni campus. Our granddaughter of 2 had plenty of interesting encounters - the little houses, the animals we saw, and colouring in the cafe.

Absolutely lovely place to go for a walk and a picnic. We'll definitely be going more often. Can't believe I'd never hear of it. So peaceful and a lovely place to sit and chill out, and only £5 to get in.

I've been here a few times and it's a wonderful little spot - beautiful, well maintained gardens though on a slope, so good mobility is important. A nice greenhouse with some interesting animals and plants and a little rainforest section. Finally, a very reasonably priced cafe and gift shop rounds off the visit. If you're in the vicinity, well worth a visit

Beautiful gardens tucked away in part of Durham university. Small car park for the gardens (25 spaces), but there is an overflow with a short walk. Loads of different garden exhibits to discover, with adventure and discovery trails for kids - or adults! There is a cafe and gift shop and toilets at the entrance. Well worth the £5 (adults) entrance fee !!

I visited this amazing place in the fall, and although it was a bit chilly, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. The tropical greenhouse made an incredible impression on me; it's wonderful that it's open to visitors. I took countless photos for my friends. At Kyiv University, where I studied and worked for many years, the tropical greenhouse is only accessible to botany students. After the walk, it was nice to warm up with a cup of tea, but I noticed that two types of soups and salads are also available. There are also lots of cute souvenirs and a children's corner. I highly recommend visiting and will be back in the summer.
