We've done many escape rooms over the years, so we're not new to the experience, although this was our first visit here. We arrived at 6:00pm for our 6:15pm booking, but by 6:25pm we still hadn't been taken into the room. We eventually spoke to a member of staff and were told that the person running our game hadn't been informed that we had arrived. These things happen, so while it was frustrating, it wasn't the main issue for us. We played The Haunting, and unfortunately it just wasn't what we expected. We enjoy challenging escape rooms especially horror ones, but this one seemed to rely heavily on padlocks, and many of the clues didn't feel intuitive or logical. There was also one puzzle involving a reflection that to us didn't appear to display clearly what it was supposed to, which added to the confusion. As we progressed, we found ourselves becoming increasingly frustrated rather than engaged. Instead of feeling challenged and having fun, the experience became unenjoyable, and we ultimately chose to leave before the time was up. Sadly, this wasn't the experience we were hoping for and left us disappointed.

We’re escape room enthusiasts who have played at all rooms across Manchester, and Breakout is our favourite so far. The rooms are very immersive, well designed and have engaging storylines. Quite a variety of themes and difficulty levels, so there’s a lot to offer for every group, from families to puzzle nerds. Shout out to our excellent games master Egan, who really made the experience at our last room (Underworld)! He was very enthusiastic and encouraging, and gave us a great introduction to the room.

Played the Emporium of Magic today with my partner for our anniversary and we had the BEST time!! As big Harry Potter fans, the setting and atmosphere of the room was like stepping into the wizarding world. The puzzles were well thought out and really fun to solve - also just the right amount of puzzles and a few “magical” ones aswell. Our games master Lucy was very friendly, welcoming, and gave clues at the right time. Will definitely be back to play some more games!

Me and my partner went to visit and played the immortal room, we had a really amazing time and it was super fun trying to figure out all of the puzzles. Martha was our host for the game and was very kind and helpful throughout the room. Highly recommended and we hope to try out some of the other rooms in the future!

Amazing escape room centre! We attempted Underworld, didn’t escape. But the puzzles were creative and fun.
