Played the floor is lava and party box. It was fantastic fun. Very physical and loads of laughs. Ordered drinks to the room - very fast service. Friendy staff. Would recommend as a fun experience with family, friends and colleagues.

This place is amazing! It's nestled on the lower level of the shopping mall, between two eateries, so could be easy to walk past. Once we found it we were greeted by Uso, who was fantastic at explaining how it all worked and what our game options were. She was very patient with us as we asked loads of questions. There are lockers for larger items by reception (I don't know how they operate as I didn't use it), else you can take smaller items in with you and hang them on the wall of your room. Note you cannot take your own drinks into the venue you can only consume what you purchase at Gamebox. We ended up having to order drinks as the room was warm and we had been morning around quite a bit - I'd say prices are average for when we went (e.g. bottled water was 1.50 and bottled cola was £2.00) The games themselves are brilliant, the equipment is straight forward, and instructions are good enough. There was a maze game which we felt was a bit glitchy (easy to fall as the headpiece didn't adjust to where you pointed to in time so easy to slip through or maybe we didn't get the hang of manoeuvering!) - was still all good fun though. Highly recommend and hope to go back with a bigger group next time.

First immersive gaming experience.. & loved it! Such a great way to get the kids working together as a team with a little bit of competitiveness thrown in! We played the 60min box game which had a good variety of challenges for all to join in. Our 8 year old struggled a little with some of the games due to height difference when paired up with dad (volleyball) & staying on the maze platform but overall loved it. We’ll be booking again (kids ages 10 & 8)

We came as a silly surprise for my husband’s 40th I did not expect to laugh so much and be so honestly worked out! genuinely had the best time… I’m glad there were only the two of us or it might of got a little over familiar at times! There was no way we could have done and extra 30 minutes though we were dead! However had we not of been two full grown out of shape adults and had brought the children that would have been a genuine nice surprise value for money family saver. Great touch! I’ll definitely feel it tomorrow and I will definitely be back with the kids!

Firstly, I think that the concept is fantastic and for the right audience it really would be fantastic. I took my two boys (both 13) because they really wanted the squid game experience, we also added the box party to the package. I live in London, so we try find something fun to do together to spend time when I visit them. The staff are superb, they’re engaged and seem to really enjoy what they do. I think that the ideal audience for the experience is honestly adults, certainly 16+ years old - it’s not all overly intuitive and whilst you do have the option to call a member of staff over, the timer for each task is ticking down and doesn’t pause if you do need any support, so we didn’t really bother - that isn’t their fault and I’m not blaming them for it, I understand the need for time constraints given how the time slots work. I also understand the need to add extra income streams within any business, especially nowadays (I manage a large hospitality venue, so I really understand that) but it really feels like the experience is full of pressure screens at random intervals to order drinks - rather than just a clear purchase screen button for if you decide that you want something. Then the way that the venues handle feedback scoring. After we played the box party first, the children and I decided that the game wasn’t one that we would play again, so we gave what I thought was a fair mid score, not terrible, not great. Almost immediately somebody came in to awkwardly ask what the issue was, which makes sense from a feedback gaining exercise and trying to seem that they wanted to get actual feedback but what it actually did was ensure that we just gave a solid 5 to the squid game experience to avoid a repeat of an awkward conversation. Simply asking at the end when we came out of the experience would have been better. I do think that the concept is brilliant and they’ve clearly put a lot of work into the way that it works. I’ve tried to make this review balanced and I would indeed come back - only, I’d do it for a date night with my partner or a work team bonding experience instead of a day out with my children.
